Brennan
Nonie Brennan began her work in the nonprofit sector over 20 years ago. She is a graduate of the University of Western Ontario, holds a certificate in Volunteer Management from Kellogg Community College in Battle Creek, Michigan, has studied at the Institute for Advanced Volunteer Management in the United Kingdom and holds a Certificate in Fundraising Management from the Fundraising School at Indiana University. Nonie implemented the first "211" (3 digit dialing code) to access health and human service programs in Michigan, established the American Institute for Advanced Studies in Volunteer Management, and is a founding member of the ConnectMichigan Alliance Board of Directors. Nonie is the former Executive Director of the Volunteer Center in Battle Creek, Michigan and is currently working as a consultant. Dr. R. Sam Larson Dr. R. Sam Larson is Director of Applied Research, a consulting firm dedicated to the improvement of practice through research and evaluation. She is also a Research Associate with the Center for Educational Policy Research at the University of Oregon. Sam has a doctorate from Michigan State University. Her research interests include organizational theory and communication, especially as they apply to the nonprofit sector. She is also engaged in the study of nonprofit management education. She has worked with the W. K. Kellogg Foundation, the Michigan Department of Community Health, the Volunteer Center of Battle Creek, and other educational and nonprofit organizations. |
