Mary  M. Harris, PhD, is Meadows Chair for Excellence in Education and Interim Chair of the department of Teacher Education and Administration at the University of North Texas.  She worked as a teacher educator at Kansas State University and the University of North Dakota before coming to Texas where she facilitates partnerships that support student success in school.  As principal investigator for the Parent Teacher Connection project, she is grateful for the support of colleagues at the UNT Center for Parent Education and at partner universities.
