Changes and New Opportunities at e-Volunteerism
Volume XII, Issue 3, April 2012 to July 2012
This issue of e-Volunteerism signals some important changes and new opportunities. We are delighted to offer the debut Training Designs article from new section editor, Sue Jones. Welcome aboard, Sue. And this issue marks the retirement of Steve McCurley from active involvement in the journal. Our goodbyes can be found in several articles. Though Steve remains on the editorial team in an emeritus position, he will no longer write Points of View or Along the Web.
Starting with the next issue, a variety of people will author Points of View. Different members of the editorial team will take turns writing the essay, and we also welcome well-articulated perspectives from you, our readers. If you have an opinion you would like to explore in an essay, please submit your idea to editor@e-volunteerism.com. Any volunteer-related topic is fair game.
Along the Web is a product of serious Web browsing for key, online resources that provide information, perspective and insights related to volunteers. Towards that goal, the journal is looking for four individuals who are willing to commit to compiling one Along the Web article each year. Of course, if two of you want to join forces and commit to doing two, we’d accomplish the same goal. We choose the topics in advance and then you have several months to do the work. Again, please contact editor@e-volunteerism.com to express interest.
