Minnesota is pleased to announce the beginning of a new statewide association for people in the field of volunteer administration, the Minnesota Association for Volunteer Administration (MAVA), affiliating thirteen previously-independent professional networks (and growing). This exciting new venture is the product of work that has taken place over several years, involving representatives from a variety of organizations. This article will briefly summarize the history of the movement, the process involved, the structure of the new organization, current status, and plans for the immediate future.
