Violet Dalton

Violet Dalton has been involved in Volunteer Management for almost 30 years, starting her career as a volunteer with the Samaritans. She was employed as the Head of Volunteering for the National Trust for Scotland for 12 years, and prior to this, was the Volunteer Programme Manager for Capability Scotland, Scotland’s largest disability charity.

A past chair of the Scottish Association of Volunteer Management (SAVM), and a member of national and international volunteer management committees, Dalton is a founding member of HVOS, (Heritage Volunteer Organisers Scotland) and FEVA (the Forum for Environmental Volunteering Activity).

Dalton is passionate about the links between coaching and volunteering - people do both to make changes in their lives! She has trained as a Life Coach with The UK College of Life Coaching and specialises in coaching and mentoring volunteer managers and volunteers.
