For the past 12 years Kelle has worked as a consultant (Remmel Consulting Services) to increase opportunities for volunteerism in non-profit, government and business organizations.  She has developed specialties in municipal volunteer management and disaster volunteer management. Kelle’s work with state and local government and Volunteer Centers has resulted in plan models that efficiently mobilize and deploy post-disaster volunteers. Kelle supports her plans by conducting numerous trainings and workshops.

Working with California Service Corps, she co-authored a disaster volunteer plan template, designed for use by local government throughout California. She is also currently in the process of developing the state of California’s disaster volunteer plan. Additionally, she has authored disaster volunteer management plans for local government organizations, Volunteer Centers and Public Health and is co-author of template plans for managing volunteers in an oil spill for the California Department of Fish and Game.

Kelle currently serves as a member of the faculty for San Jose State University's Continuing Education Program in Nonprofit Management. She believes in the importance of developing opportunities for civic engagement and building community through volunteerism.
