Thanks Sue - doing my review of the year I'm re-reading 2012 articles and have found a number of reminders of good practice to renew my plans for my new intake of volunteer trainee advisers. I will be inviting staff and existing volunteers to join my new group of volunteers for short regular parts of their induction to share the load and build relationships. To help this process of integration I plan to ask a Volunteer Programme volunteer to produce a photo sheet of the new volunteers with pen portraits.

Thank you for the feedback June - much appreciated. I love that you are re-visiting earlier articles as part of your review! I'm pleased the piece was useful and it sounds as though you have sparked some useful ideas for developing your induction. It would be great to hear how you get on with this. Sue
