Anna M. Seidman

Anna Seidman is an attorney who works as a legal research, writing and editing consultant for law firms, governmental agencies and nonprofit organizations. She received her undergraduate degree from Brown University and her law degree from The George Washington University National Law Center. After practicing personal injury law in Philadelphia for several years, she moved to the Washington, D.C. area and commenced her free-lance consulting career.

 

In coordination with the Nonprofit Risk Management Center and the Corporation for National Service, Anna has co-authored several publications for use by AmeriCorps program grantees as well as by other community service organizations. Anna's published work has focused primarily on risk management issues involved in working with volunteers. Some of her publications include Kidding Around? Be Serious!; Special Legal Issues for AmeriCorps*USA; Negotiating the Legal Maze to Volunteer Service; and Beyond the Myths about Disabilities and Risks. Anna has also offered several seminars on risk management in working with volunteers.

Currently, Anna is working as a consulting editor on a new book by Ivan Scheier. The manuscript that discusses the methodology of "dream-catching" is to be published by Energize Inc. during the fall of 2000.
