Charlotte Witteridge

Charlotte Witteridge has over 12 years’ experience in managing volunteers, volunteer management best practices, and development of volunteer programs within a regional hospice and public service setting.  As the head of volunteering development at The Myton Hospices, Warwick, Warwickshire, she cares passionately about making a positive difference to charitable organisations to ensure that the involvement of volunteers enables the organisation to meet its strategic aims.

Witteridge’s first experience of volunteering was as a teenager, spending every weekend of the winter months supporting her parents running their ice hockey team in Solihull – giving up every weekend over a number of years to ensure that match nights ran smoothly. Having experienced the incredible difference that volunteers make from a service-user perspective and having given time herself, she pursued a career in volunteer management.

Witteridge is enthusiastic about supporting others to develop their skills in relation to managing volunteers. Since 2015, she has been the regional representative for the Midlands region of the Association of Volunteer Services Managers (AVSM), bringing together volunteer managers from hospices across the Midlands region to share best practice and network. She recently joined the Executive Committee of AVSM.
